Urvashi admitted she did not know the details of the attack on Saif when she made those comments. She said she had been celebrating the success of her film Daako Maharaaj, which grossed ₹150 crores. During the interview, she shared her excitement about receiving a diamond ring from her mother and a Rolex watch from her father. However, she linked her remarks about her gifts to concerns about personal safety, referencing the attack on Saif.
Many criticized her for making the incident seem trivial. In her apology, Urvashi said she felt ashamed of her behavior and asked for forgiveness. She praised Saif for his bravery and said her respect for him had grown.
Urvashi also explained that the success of Daako Maharaaj made her overly enthusiastic. She clarified that she did not intend to disrespect Saif or downplay the seriousness of the incident.
