Actor Mohan Babu Receives Legal Relief from Telangana High Court
The Telangana High Court has granted temporary relief to veteran actor Mohan Babu, staying notices issued by the Rachakonda police. The notices were related to mutual complaints filed by Mohan Babu and his son, actor Manchu Manoj. The court has exempted Mohan Babu from appearing for questioning until December 24, postponing the hearing to the same date.
Court Stays Police Notices
Mohan Babu filed a petition as a lunch motion, urging the High Court to halt police action against him. Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy, who presided over the hearing, directed the police to defer the questioning process.
Criminal Cases Filed
During the hearing, the government’s counsel informed the court about criminal complaints filed by both Mohan Babu and Manchu Manoj against each other. Additionally, it was revealed that Mohan Babu was named in another case concerning an alleged assault on a journalist.
Manchu Manoj Complies with Notices
Meanwhile, Manchu Manoj appeared before the police in response to the issued notices. Mohan Babu’s legal counsel requested the court to arrange police surveillance at his residence, citing safety concerns.
Court’s Interim Directive
The court instructed the police to visit Mohan Babu’s residence every two hours to monitor the situation until the next hearing. It emphasized maintaining law and order at the actor’s premises.
