Actor Mohan Babu Approaches High Court Over Media Attack Allegations

Hyderabad: Prominent actor Manchu Mohan Babu has moved the High Court after receiving police notices concerning an alleged attack on media personnel near his family farmhouse in Jalpally. A video of the incident circulated widely on social media, prompting journalists’ associations to file complaints with the police.

Police Action and Legal Response

The Pahadi Shareef police registered a case under Section BNS 118, leading to notices issued by Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu. The actor was summoned to appear at the Rachakonda Commissionerate at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday for an inquiry.

High Court Petition Filed

In response, Mohan Babu filed a lunch motion petition in the High Court, contesting the police notices. His legal representatives, Nagesh Reddy and Murali Manohar, requested the court to provide him security, citing potential threats to his life. They also urged the court to direct the police to station a security picket near his residence, alleging negligence in addressing his prior protection requests.
