CM Revanth Reddy’s Decision on Special Shows Sparks Industry Concerns
Prominent figures from the Tollywood film industry are reportedly planning to meet Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Producer Naga Vamsi recently shared with the media that once Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju returns from the United States, they will schedule a meeting with the Chief Minister.
Naga Vamsi stated that the agenda for the meeting includes discussions on ticket price hikes and permissions for premiere shows.
This comes after CM Revanth Reddy, during a recent Assembly session, declared that there would be no approvals for ticket price increases, special screenings, or benefit shows in Telangana. He emphasized that such permissions would not be granted under any circumstances during his tenure.
The Chief Minister’s decision could significantly impact upcoming big-budget releases scheduled for Sankranti, including Game Changer, Daku Maharaj, and Sankranti Ki Vachestunnam. This has prompted the Tollywood industry to seek a dialogue with the CM to address their concerns.
Producer Naga Vamsi, who is backing Daku Maharaj under the Sithara Entertainments banner with Balakrishna in the lead and Bobby as the director, also addressed the media on Monday.
He highlighted the prevailing challenges faced by the Telugu film industry and expressed the need for a meeting with the Chief Minister to discuss possible resolutions.
