Sandhya Theater Cites Compliance in Pushpa 2 Premiere Case; Stampede Tragedy

Following the tragic stampede during the premiere of Pushpa-2, where a woman named Revathi lost her life, the Chikkadpally police issued a show-cause notice to the management of Sandhya Theater at RTC Cross Roads, Hyderabad. In the case registered regarding the incident, the theater management was also listed among the accused.

In response, Sandhya Theater management has provided an explanation through their legal representatives. They sent a six-page letter to the Chikkadpally police, clarifying that the theater has all the necessary permissions to operate.

The letter emphasized that Sandhya Theater has been running for 45 years without any similar incidents occurring in the past.

The management further stated that on the night of December 4, when the premiere show of Pushpa-2 was screened, around 80 staff members were on duty at the theater.

It also clarified that Sandhya Theater was engaged by the production company Mythri Movie Makers on December 4 and 5 for the event.

Additionally, the theater highlighted that during the release of several films in the past, lead actors of those movies visited the theater without any such problems arising.

They also mentioned that dedicated parking facilities for cars and bikes are available for patrons visiting the theater.

This detailed explanation was submitted as part of their response to the police notices.
