Icon Star Allu Arjun’s recent arrest and bail release following a stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre during Pushpa-2’s premiere has unexpectedly fueled the film’s box office success.
As per movie tracking portal ShockNilk, the film earned over ₹75 crore globally on its second Sunday (December 15).
The Telugu version added ₹16 crore, while the Hindi version alone contributed ₹55 crore. Other language versions, including Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, brought in additional revenue.
With these impressive earnings, Pushpa-2 surpassed the ₹1,300-crore global mark within 11 days of its release.
This achievement places Pushpa-2 as the third-highest-grossing Indian film, overtaking RRR (₹1,230 crore) and KGF: Chapter 2 (₹1,215 crore).
Only Baahubali 2 (₹1,790 crore) and Dangal (₹2,070 crore) rank higher. Analysts believe that if the current trend persists, Pushpa-2 might surpass Baahubali 2 in total collections.
Domestically, the film has amassed over ₹900 crore, with its Hindi version alone netting more than ₹500 crore.
Directed by Sukumar and featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa-2 continues to dominate the global box office.
