However, the execution falls short. The inclusion of redundant scenes and flat comedy tests the viewer’s patience. The first two episodes, in particular, suffer from a sluggish pace.
When a new sub-plot is introduced during the search for the missing rooster, it fails to elevate the drama and feels highly manufactured and theatrical. Unnecessary sequences involving turmeric packets, the antics of an association called ‘Abba’, and forced gross-out humor only add to the frustration. On a positive note, naming the roosters after Prabhas’s movies serves as a clever touch.
Cast Performances
The lead actors deliver commendable performances within the scope of their roles. However, the character of Gajapathi Raju, played by Nagababu, required a much more powerful and commanding design. Though capable actors were cast as Mahipal Reddy and Sudhakar, their potential was underutilized due to weak character writing. A bit more effort into the screenplay and character arcs would have benefited the overall output of Memu Coplam.
