Viral Video: Maadhavi Latha Alleges Attack on Self-Respect, Vows to Fight On
Actress and BJP leader Maadhavi Latha posted an emotional video on social media, which has now gone viral. In the video, she tearfully expressed her anguish, stating that her self-respect had been attacked. She added that she has never betrayed anyone, yet people are spreading malicious comments against her out of spite.
Maadhavi Latha emphasized that, despite being a woman, she has always fought like a man and refrained from playing any sympathy game. She expressed her determination to overcome the current challenges.
In her video message, she said, “I tried my best to stay strong, but I am human too. I cannot describe the pain I feel after the attack on my self-respect. Every moment is filled with suffering—anger, disappointment, frustration, and sadness are overwhelming me. However, many have tried to crush my self-confidence before by repeating such harsh words. I never waited for anyone to come and support me. I stepped forward to do my part for society.”
Maadhavi Latha further stated, “I have been fighting selflessly for my party, the people, women, and the Hindu faith without seeking any monetary gain. I have not betrayed or cheated anyone. Despite this, people continue to target me with spiteful comments. I have never played the sympathy card as a woman, nor have I misused women-friendly laws. I have always fought like a man, and I will overcome these hardships. I will not lose my courage.”
Concluding her video, she said, “Although I have my family and friends, it is my fans and well-wishers on social media who give me strength. Please forgive me for sharing my pain with you. Your love, support, and blessings keep me going.”
This video comes after the controversial remarks made by former Tadipatri MLA and municipal chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy, who reportedly insulted Maadhavi Latha by saying that she has no significant reputation and called her a “prostitute.” His remarks triggered widespread outrage, with BJP leaders and several others condemning his statements.
Following the backlash, JC Prabhakar Reddy issued an apology, admitting that he should not have made those comments. However, Maadhavi Latha responded strongly to his apology, questioning, “Is it enough to hurl abuses and then casually apologize?”
