CPI Narayana Criticizes Rashmika’s ‘Peelings’ Song in “Pushpa-2”

CPI Narayana Slams “Pushpa-2” Over Crime Glorification and Ticket Prices

The movie Pushpa-2 has achieved massive success, collecting over ₹1,600 crores globally since its pan-India release. However, the song “Peelings” from the film has sparked controversy.

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is featured in the song, drew attention for her bold performance.

CPI leader Narayana made sensational comments about the song, stating that Rashmika Mandanna was reluctant to perform the dance.

He claimed she only agreed to do it at the director’s insistence. Expressing concern, Narayana said that many women in the film industry are compelled to suppress their self-respect to continue working.

Narayana also criticized Pushpa-2 for its portrayal and impact. He questioned why governments provide subsidies to films that promote crime and vulgarity.

He condemned the glorification of a red sandalwood smuggler as a hero in the movie. Furthermore, he raised concerns about exorbitant ticket prices, questioning the rationale behind charging ₹1,000 for a ticket that should cost ₹100.

He also criticized the trend of movie stars conducting roadshows to promote films.
