CM Revanth Reddy’s Stern Message to Film Industry After Stampede Incident
Hyderabad: A stampede incident occurred during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre on RTC Cross Roads, Hyderabad. Tragically, a woman named Revathi lost her life in the mishap. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently expressed his anguish over the incident in a meeting with prominent film personalities.
During the meeting, officials presented a video of the incident, highlighting lapses in crowd management. The Chief Minister reportedly criticized the theater management and the film’s lead actor for their lack of responsibility. He emphasized that the government is taking the matter seriously due to the loss of life.
CM Revanth Reddy urged actors to be heroes not just on-screen but in real life too. He stressed that the film industry must take social responsibility seriously.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to public safety and welfare, he announced that there will be no more benefit shows or ticket price hikes in Telangana moving forward.
