NBK’s Talk Show Revelations: An Untold Story About Brahmani’s Film Offer
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s popular talk show Unstoppable with NBK, streaming on Aha, remains a top-rated program in India. In the latest episode, NBK shared an interesting story about a unique opportunity his elder daughter Brahmani once received from acclaimed director Mani Ratnam.
Unstoppable with NBK, hosted by the celebrated actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, has captivated audiences since its launch. Currently in its fourth season, the show continues to feature prominent celebrities and industry stalwarts.
In the eighth episode of Season 4, director Bobby, music composer Thaman, and producer Naga Vamsi were the special guests. During a candid conversation, Balakrishna opened up about his family, sharing a lesser-known anecdote about his elder daughter Brahmani. Responding to a question from Thaman, NBK revealed that director Mani Ratnam once approached Brahmani with a heroine’s role in one of his films. However, Brahmani, uninterested in acting, politely turned down the offer.
Recalling her reaction, NBK said, “When I informed her about the offer, she amusingly asked, ‘My face?’ I assured her that Mani Ratnam chose her for her distinct looks, but she declined, citing her lack of interest in films.”
Balakrishna further added a light-hearted note about his younger daughter, Tejaswini, who used to act in front of the mirror as a child. Though he once believed she might step into the industry, Tejaswini chose a different path and now works as a creative consultant for the show.
Concluding his remarks, Balakrishna expressed pride in both his daughters, stating, “They have excelled in their chosen fields, and it’s a joy for me to see them succeed. What more could a father ask for?”
