“Pushpa 2: High Court Rejects Petition to Halt Release Amid Controversy”

Telangana High Court Dismisses Petition Against Pushpa 2, Clearing the Way for Its Release

“Pushpa 2: The much-anticipated release of Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ receives a green light from the Telangana High Court, dismissing the petition filed against its release.”

The Telangana High Court has dismissed a petition seeking to halt the release of the film Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun.

The petitioner, Sararapu Srisailam, filed a writ petition arguing that the film, which revolves around red sandalwood smuggling, promotes smuggling activities.

Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya of the High Court heard the case and dismissed the petition.

The Deputy Solicitor General, representing the Censor Board, argued that the film had been approved for release after necessary modifications were suggested.

The court ruled that it cannot stop the release of a film based on speculative allegations. Additionally, the court imposed a fine on the petitioner for wasting judicial time, directing that the fine be used for the welfare of women victims of trafficking and child welfare organizations.

“Pushpa 2: With the legal hurdles cleared, the film is set to enthrall audiences, reaffirming that speculative allegations cannot hinder the release of a highly anticipated blockbuster.”
