Veteran Tollywood star Mohan Babu has handed over his licensed firearm to the police. On Monday, he traveled from Hyderabad to his university in Rangampeta, Chandragiri Mandal, Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. His Public Relations Officer (PRO) later submitted the double-barrel gun at the Chandragiri police station.
The move follows a directive from Hyderabad police linked to ongoing family-related issues.
Addressing the recent incident near his Jalpalli residence, Mohan Babu clarified that there was no intentional assault on a journalist.
He also issued another apology to the media community. On Sunday, he and his son, Manchu Vishnu, visited the hospital to check on the injured journalist involved in the altercation.
