Dil Raju Recalls Childhood Memories of Watching Movies in Nizamabad

Dil Raju’s Nostalgic Recollections at ‘Sankranthiki Vastaam’ Trailer Event

Renowned film producer Dil Raju shared childhood memories and explained how he developed a deep passion for cinema. The trailer launch event of the upcoming movie ‘Sankranthiki Vustunnam’ was held on Monday at the Nizamabad Collectorate Grounds. The trailer was launched by superstar Mahesh Babu, while actor Venkatesh entertained fans with a lively dance performance.

During the event, Dil Raju fondly recalled his childhood days in Nizamabad. He reminisced, saying, “Nizamabad holds many memories from my early years. In the 1980s, my brother Sirish and I would cycle to local theaters like Picture Palace, Vijay Theatre, Lalitha Mahal, Rajarajendra Theatre, and Nataraj Theatre, where tickets cost just a rupee and a few annas. That’s how I developed a love for cinema. Back then, we never thought we would enter the film industry, but we were passionate about watching every movie that was released.”

He also recollected how, with just five rupees, they would watch a film, buy popcorn during the interval, and head back home happily. Dil Raju expressed his pride in hosting the event for their 58th film in the same town where he grew up watching movies. He acknowledged the support of many directors and actors, crediting them for helping him and his team reach their current position in the film industry.
