Megastar Chiranjeevi is set to be honored at the UK Parliament for his outstanding contributions to cinema and society over a career spanning more than four and a half decades. British Labour Party MP Navendu Mishra will felicitate Chiranjeevi in the presence of other Members of Parliament on March 19. Several dignitaries, including Sojan Joseph and Bob Blackman, will also attend the event.
As part of the ceremony, Bridge India, a prominent UK-based organization, will present Chiranjeevi with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Public Service through Cultural Leadership. This award recognizes his contributions to cinema, philanthropy, and social service.
Bridge India is a leading organization in the UK that focuses on public policy development and honors individuals whose achievements have had a significant impact on society. This marks the first time the organization is presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award, making Chiranjeevi the inaugural recipient. This recognition adds yet another milestone to his illustrious career.
The honor from UK Parliament members and prestigious institutions like Bridge India highlights Chiranjeevi’s growing international recognition.
Earlier in 2024, Chiranjeevi received India’s second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, from the Government of India. Last year, he was also recognized by the Guinness World Records for his excellence as an actor and dancer. In addition, during the centenary celebrations of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the Akkineni International Foundation conferred the A.N.R. National Award 2024 on Chiranjeevi.
This latest recognition from the UK Parliament further cements Chiranjeevi’s legacy as one of the most influential figures in Indian cinema and public service.
