Opportunities Come When You Stay Positive,’ Says Chiranjeevi at APTA Event

Chiranjeevi Recounts Life Lessons for Young Entrepreneurs at APTA Event

Hyderabad: Megastar Chiranjeevi was the chief guest at the APTA (American Progressive Telugu Association) Catalyst Global Business Conference 2025 held in Hyderabad. During his speech, Chiranjeevi shared insights from his personal life and career, offering valuable lessons for young entrepreneurs.

He praised APTA for organizing the event and commended the delegates who had come from across India and abroad, especially from the United States, to connect with Telugu entrepreneurs and encourage them. “Such collaborative efforts lead to remarkable results not only for individuals but also for our state and country,” Chiranjeevi remarked.

Warm Reception

Expressing his delight at the vibrant atmosphere of the event, Chiranjeevi said, “It feels like I am among family. The respect and affection you’ve shown me are truly heartwarming. Unlike some formal events, this gathering feels like a festival.” He thanked the organizers and attendees for the grand welcome.

His Early Aspirations

Chiranjeevi narrated his journey from a middle-class family to becoming a top actor. He recalled his early interest in sports but shared how injuries in badminton, volleyball, and cricket led him to pursue other interests. Eventually, he joined the NCC, where he excelled, becoming a senior cadet captain and even participating in the Republic Day parade in Delhi.

After his stint with the NCC, Chiranjeevi felt unsure about his next steps until he discovered acting during a college play. Winning the ‘Best Actor’ prize boosted his confidence, and he started considering acting as a serious career option. He recounted how his father, who had acted in minor film roles, initially hesitated but later supported him.

Entry into Films

Chiranjeevi shared how he joined the Film Institute and, even before completing his training, began receiving offers. He noted that despite facing discouragement from struggling actors in Chennai, he remained determined. “I avoided negative environments and focused on staying positive, which helped me persevere,” he said.

Challenges and Success

Speaking about his early setbacks in the film industry, Chiranjeevi recalled being dropped from a project with legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao after their first film together failed. Despite this, he remained optimistic and eventually achieved greater success, working with the same director multiple times. “Failures should be seen as opportunities to learn and grow,” he emphasized.

Staying Grounded

Chiranjeevi credited his success to his humility and professionalism. “I didn’t lack courage. I chose to stay calm and patient, which helped me rise in the industry. In the early days, talent alone wasn’t enough—behavior and how you conduct yourself were critical.”

He highlighted how difficult it was to establish himself in the industry during a time when big stars like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Krishna, and Shobhan Babu dominated. He attributed his breakthrough to the support of audiences, adding, “I owe my success to my fans who believed in me before the industry did.”

Message to Young Entrepreneurs

Addressing the young entrepreneurs present, Chiranjeevi said, “Set a clear goal, stay positive, and keep moving forward. Don’t be discouraged by initial failures. Money will follow once you establish yourself. Maintain discipline, stay humble, and focus on adding value to those you work with.”

He concluded by emphasizing the importance of positive thinking at APTA Event and resilience in the face of adversity. “Never let negativity take over. Believe in your goals and work towards them with unwavering focus.”
