AP High Court Reduces Ticket Price Hike Period for Upcoming Tollywood Films
Ahead of Sankranti, Tollywood is gearing up for the release of two major films. Ram Charan’s Game Changer is set to hit screens on January 10, while Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj will release on January 12.
The Andhra Pradesh government had permitted an increase in ticket prices for these movies. However, several petitions were filed in the High Court challenging this decision, arguing that the ticket price hike violated regulations and requesting the court to revoke the government order.
After reviewing the petitions, the AP High Court delivered a significant verdict. While the government had initially allowed the higher ticket prices to remain in effect for 14 days, the court reduced this period to just 10 days. As per the High Court’s ruling, the increased ticket prices will now only apply for the first 10 days after the movies’ release.
This decision is expected to have a considerable impact on the overall box office collections of both films.
